This unit is designed for the professional user. The digital data transmission is based on the transceiver principle. The audio data transmission range corresponds to the remote control range. The audio signals are digitized by a 10-bit A/D converter and subsequently encrypted by the data encryption standard DES using a 56-bit key. Transmission of the digital audio data and reception of the remote control commands is performed via the same antenna. The packet-switched, uninterrupted audio transmission permits to receive remote control commands in between the audio data. All settings, such as On/Off, power output, stand-by mode, internal/external microphone, VOX, channel, and address, are remote controllable.
