The PKI 7400 Terahertz Imaging System is based on passive terahertz imaging technology, without illuminating or irradiating subjects in any way. No XRays are used. Suspective objects are imaged by passively detecting terahertz waves naturally emitted by all objects and people. Terahertz waves pass through opaque materials such as clothing, packaging and certain building materials and can form images of objects, such as weapons, explosives, narcotics or contraband goods. The PKI 7400 Terahertz Imaging system consists of a camera unit and digital CCTV, for mounting on user’s external pan / tilt device. Ethernet control of camera unit from remote computer and RS 232 link between camera and external pan/tilt unit are possible.
